About Tanja

Music has accompanied
my life for as long
as I can remember.

Music can touch and connect people in a way nothing else can. It gifts me moments of incredible intensity, and I am deeply grateful that I was able to turn my passion into a profession.

I have had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people and musicians along the way — performing and recording in various formations, above all with Fields of Joy, alongside many other exciting collaborations.

From childhood, my special love has always been singing. I started self-taught before studying with various teachers, including Monika Ballwein, Monika Riedler, and Vicky Anastasiou from London. At the Vienna Conservatory I trained under Waltraud Köttler and Iris Wiesner.

In 2013 I discovered the powerful method of Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) and decided to pursue the full teacher certification in Denmark — which I completed in 2016.

My heart doesn't belong to singing alone. In recent years I have also immersed myself deeply in various percussion instruments, finding in rhythm the perfect and thrilling complement to the voice.

Percussion

The rhythmic world has always fascinated me. From cajon and hand drums to complex polyrhythmic patterns — percussion became the perfect counterpart to the voice, grounding every performance in pulse and groove.
